A couple of weekends ago mi madre came to visit, all the way from Texas! Luckily the weather in Seattle wasn’t grim and gray as per the usual March days… it was beeautiful. We went to Kerry Park, which boasts the best skyline/view in Seattle, did some estate sale thrifting, took a daytrip to Poulsbo and got her a lil wine crunk at a wine bar in our neighborhood! It was a blast.
I am now inspired to “get my estate-sale on”. We found quite a few kitschy or vintage treasures at a mere two sales, and I’m pumped to get out there and get my grubby hands on some more. We got a GORGEOUS mid-century modern formica-topped end table for $10! Ten dollars people.
We scored some vintage crocheted potholders, some linen calendar towels from the 60s and 70s (ten in total) that are in pristine shape, a rocket-inspired set of old Tupperware salt and pepper shakers, a vintage dark brown glass owl and several other goodies. We cleaned up!
Check my shop for a couple of new items.. and I’ll be listing those GORGEOUS (trust me, the photo I linked doesn’t do them justice) linen calendar towels in the next few days. Oh, and I’m going to Maui for five days courtesy of my husband winning a performance award at work. Thanks T-Mobile!
